Modeled after private gardens developed in the City of Suzhou during the Ming Dynasty, Dr.Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is the first classical Chinese garden created outside China.  The Garden exists to promote peace and harmony through an appreciation of classical Chinese symbolism and design.  All design elements are based on the principle of balance, of yin and yang, hard and soft, straight and curved, wet and dry.  It is a place with the rare capability to engage both the heart and the mind.  Like scholars and artists of the 15th century China, today's visitors experience the harmony and tranquility of a classical Chinese garden.

The nature lover, cultural tourist, or sight-seeing visitor can enjoy a cup of complimentary tea and a guided tour anytime of the year rain or shine from any of our covered walkways.  Located in the heart of Vancouver's Chinatown near the skytrain.
