www.warplane.com Canadian Warplane Heritage "Canada's Flying Museum" is located next to the Hamilton International Airport. Guests to the museum will experience one of the world's largest displays of operational aircraft under one roof. Over 40 aircraft from World War II to Jets, including the only flying Avro Lancaster in North America are displayed indoors and in the air! Ongoing vintage aircraft restoration projects take place in the museum for the guests to see. Interactive displays, photographs and memorabilia are available for our guest's enjoyment. 'Pilot' a jet trainer, climb into the cockpit of a half-restored WWII aircraft and then check out the cockpit of a jet fighter. Vintage aircraft fly (in season). Membership flights are available in the Lancaster, B-25 or PBY Canso and vintage aircraft rides are available in the Harvard or Stearman. Restaurant and gift shop on site. Weddings, meetings and event rentals are also available. Canadian Warplane Heritage, a registered charity, is dedicated to preserving Canada's rich aviation history. |
