Blue Heron Rafting was founded in 1998 by Roger Chandler a river guide and professional comedian now living in Brantford, ON.  We do float trips on different sections of the Grand River from Cambridge to Brantford.  The trips are 3.5 hrs long.  We can take large numbers of people, float them to an island and feed them a terrific shore lunch.  We can also arrange to have a barbeque at the end of your trip.  

We have found that these trips have been great for team building.  Races break out spontaneously with everyone pulling together to win.  I have seen groups show up looking like the S.W.A.T team because they are carrying so many water pistols and cannons.  A day out on the river seems to bring out the best in everybody and we have had some incredibly fun trips.

Of course some people just want to float serenely along and enjoy nature.  We do that too.  You can see snapping turtles sleeping in the sun, osprey diving for fish, beavers swimming along the shoreline and fish jumping in the distance.  It's a bird watchers delight to drift on the Grand and see the rare green heron, orioles, king fishers, golf finches, and countless others.

These trips are totally safe and the guides have first aid and CPR. We take people from all over the world and they are amazed at how pretty the Grand River really is.
